About the founder
Jason Cohen
Jason Cohen is a New York–based actor, multi-instrumentalist, writer, director and music director. He has worked on some three dozen performances across the US, frequently working in more than one position on any given project. After playing Jerry Lee Lewis in the national tour of Broadway’s Million Dollar Quartet, he was inspired by the audience demand for that music, and he founded Emmett Productions as a way to produce Great Balls of Fire, a theatrical concert he co-created and starred in.
Now five years later, the company has grown to book half a dozen concerts, and produce film and theatre across the US and abroad. In this uncertain economic time, their goal is to ensure bringing low-cost and high-impact productions to venues all over the world.
